As a purpose built brain injury unit, at Stocksbridge Neuro-rehabilitation centre we work closely with each of our clients throughout their journey, with the ultimate aim of rehabilitating clients to the point where they can be involved in their future care.
Of our 23 beds, 8 are dedicated to continuing care for those with complex care needs related to their brain injury.
Our team is made up of Rehabilitation Support Workers, registered Rehabilitation Nurses, Rehabilitation Consultant, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Neuropsychologists, and Speech and Language Therapists with close links with our local specialist GP.
Experienced in working with adults recovering from acquired or traumatic brain injuries, as a team we work together to encourage not only physical but mental rehabilitation. Our approach is neuropsychology driven, developing strategies and timetables individual to each person so they gain the most from their rehabilitation.
Our CQC rating of ‘Good’ is reflected in the safe, effective and responsive service which we present. Our priority is the care and support we provide to our clients, and their families in turn.
